After 15 years as an ASB Director and as a proud, active member of the CADA family, I am humbled and thrilled to announce my candidacy for Vice President. CADA has always been more than a professional organization for me—it is a place where leaders ignite change, where inspiration flourishes, and where the bonds of community are strengthened with every shared experience. It is the heartbeat of my professional life and an integral part of who I am.
Family is the foundation of my existence and the lens through which I approach every challenge and opportunity. For the past 27 years, I have been blessed to share life with my incredible spouse, and together we are raising five wonderful children who inspire me every day. This unwavering commitment to family is mirrored in my dedication to fostering a nurturing, supportive, and empowering environment within the CADA community and on my own campus.
My passion for leadership was born during my own high school years, where I first discovered the transformative power of student involvement. That spark grew into a flame that has guided me through 30 years of teaching statistics and cultivating leadership in young adults. I have always believed that leadership is not just about creating moments of magic on campus but about nurturing the people who make those moments possible. Watching students evolve into confident, capable leaders and seeing staff members grow as mentors has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.
My journey with CADA has been nothing short of transformative. I could never have made it through my first years as an Activities Director without the support of my CADA family. I am committed to helping our less experienced members get the support they need to stick with this awesome but time-consuming job. With the help of my CADA family, I grew from a member to a CADA Camp Staff Member and then to an Area E Council Member. Later, I served as the Area E Coordinator, which deepened my understanding of the immense value of collaboration and mentorship. Through this role, I’ve witnessed the extraordinary impact we can have when we work together to innovate, inspire, and raise the bar for what leadership development looks like in our schools.
As Vice President, I will bring the same vision, energy, and heart to the table—because I know that the work we do together is not just meaningful; it is life-changing.
This is a pivotal time for CADA as we continue to grow, adapt, and meet the evolving needs of our students, staff, and communities. I am committed to honoring the legacy of those who came before me while also forging new paths to empower the next generation of student leaders. Together, as a family, we can build a future rooted in innovation, inclusion, and inspiration.
To my CADA family: I am deeply grateful for all this organization has given me, and I am ready to give back in every way I can. I humbly ask for your support and your trust as we continue this incredible journey together. Let us shape the future of CADA with passion, purpose, and the collective strength of a family united by a shared vision.
