2024.25 CADA President’s Message

Joe McMahon, CADA President 24.25

CADA, thank you for taking part in the CADA Spirit Games Convention in Reno. I know that I enjoyed seeing all of the attendees dressing up every day, smiling, laughing, having fun, while participating in the games hosted by the Area Councils. Every game I watched I was able to adapt it for my school to use at a rally or lunchtime event.  It was awesome celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the CADA Convention, with over 1800 of my closest friends. Recognizing many of the people from the first 60 years in a wonderful tribute video. It is always a revitalizing experience seeing old friends, networking and making new friends at the convention. A record 102 participants in the scholarship run, quick shout out to Suzy and her team. The exhibitors in the hall brought their A game to help support, provide resources and offer new ideas to all those in attendance. The nightly networking events each evening hosted by our terrific sponsors were inclusive, diverse and welcoming to all. Each of the keynote speakers inspired us on our main stage. Joe Beckman explained how “Human Connection Matters” and will be part of the legacy that we will create at our schools. Branden Farbstien, gave us the reason to be that “person” for our students on our campuses and Dr. Shree Walker, taught us to understand that “Change starts with M.E.E.” and that we have the opportunity to ”impact the human spirit.” We had so many amazing workshops to learn and grow from throughout the whole convention. Thank you to the many people who made the CADA Spirit Games Convention possible. I hope that you are able to use the games, events and were inspired to “Make A Difference Everyday!” [email protected]
