Ambassadors, What are you most excited about this upcoming year?
Caroline Calma“I’m looking forward to the workshops and speakers that the CASL Conference provides!”
Evelin Villanueva Rosario“I’m really excited to connect with other student leaders from across California and share ideas that actually make a difference. I love being part of something bigger than just my school, and I think CAS gives us that chance. I’m also looking forward to growing as a leader, especially by learning how to better advocate for student voices.”
Abigail Green“I am hopefully trying to attend CASL and be able to do Meet The Pros.”
Shruthi Venkat“I’m looking forward to meeting new people and participating in the monthly Ambassador calls so I can connect with student leaders across California. I’m also looking forward to sharing ideas, learning from others, and bringing leadership strategies back to my school. The CASL State Conference and Area Conferences also seem like amazing opportunities to grow as a leader and gain inspiration from others’ initiatives.”
Candria D’Souza“This will be my first year with CASL, so I look forward to learning from experienced CASL members, gain and develop leadership skills, and help lead events.”
Maddelyn Tran“Some things I am excited for this year during the Ambassador program is being able to connect with like minded students from all over and being able to share maybe my experiences to help and guide others while also hearing different experiences that could be helpful to myself! I’m super excited to see where this year leads to and how it can help me grow as a leader!”
How does your school promote sprit?
Claran D’Souza“My school builds a sense of community through fun events like rallies, clubs, sports, and spirit weeks, which are hosted by ASB. These events bring students together, boost school spirit, and help everyone feel included. We also have school teams and competitions where students can participate in activities to raise money for important causes or school programs. These shared experiences help us bond as a school and create a more positive environment for everyone.”
Evelin Villanueva Rosario“At my school, we bond through spirit weeks, rallies, and class competitions—we go all out! We also have club fairs and movie nights that bring people together in a chill way. What really helps, though, is how involved students get with planning these events. It makes everyone feel like they’re part of something and not just watching from the outside.”
Shruthi Venkat“My school promotes spirit through engaging student rallies and themed spirit weeks that build excitement and unity across grade levels! These events are planned by our student leadership team and often include games, music, and dress-up days that encourage widespread participation.”
Evana Justin“Our school promotes spirit multiple ways with spirit days, rallies, assemblies, and so much more.”
Dani Borenstein“At Los Gatos High School, we have a strong sports culture, so our rallies are all about class competitions. It gets everyone hyped up and encourages people to dress up and get involved.”
Kobe Wang“My school promotes spirit through pep rallies, football games, freshman activities, and spirit weeks.”
What school accomplishment are you proud of?
Jordyn Best“We got a state OLPA Award for our leadership program.”
Abigail Green“Our school has won Blue Ribbon award this year and also have all classes on our campus (Freshman – Senior).”
Maddelyn Tran“Our school offers many service clubs where students are able to gain volunteer hours through services in and outside of our school. We also offer many opportunities to donate items. For example, in the past, we had a school wide canned food drive and a ‘vintage fair,’ where students are able to receive clothes for free that are all donated to help those in need or whoever just needs a spare jacket!”
Caroline Calma“Some school accomplishments I’d like to share is that I am blessed with the opportunity to be in advanced math this upcoming school year, making me more prepared for high school!”
