Work2BeWell—Created by teens, for teens! This free, clinically-vetted program offers a wealth of mental health resources designed to support student well-being.
In Session 1, Sara Freauf (Nilles) introduced a variety of engaging activities available through Work2BeWell, including Check-ins, Wellness Wednesdays, Mindful Focus Cards, Clubs, Lessons, Podcasts, and the Roadmap to Wellness. These tools provide student leaders and educators with easy ways to integrate mental health support into their schools.
Session 2 featured curriculum designer Heather Ransom, who introduced new college-focused mental health modules developed in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson. While designed for college students, these six modules are also ideal for high school juniors and seniors. One attendee shared that she plans to implement them with her AVID Seniors, excited about the impact they could have. The modules cover:
The Continuum of Mental Health
Understanding Anxiety
Understanding Depression
A Closer Look at Self-Medication & Addiction
The Stories That Shape Us: Dealing with Crisis, Trauma and Desperation
How to Advocate Successfully for Your Mental Health at College
